In which my dad knows me too well.

-Showing dad the Union Jack iPod case I wanted from eBay-

Me: Dad can I get this?

Dad: Why do you want a case with another country's flag on it?

Me: Because.. because.

Dad: What's so special about England?

Me: Nothing.. everything! So can I get it?

Dad: Why don't you get one with the Australi-

Me: I JUST WANT THIS ONE OKAY CAN I PLEASE GET IT

Dad: But tell me why you want that specific one?

Me: Um, because I like England? It's cool. 

Dad: I know why you really want it.

Me: No you don't.

Dad: Yes I do.

Me: Why then?!

Dad: Because those boys are English.

Mum: It's nice. You can get it.

And then I walked away with a smug look on my face yelling at my father, "HA! I'M ENGLISH NOW!"
