In the words of Sugarscape.. hello sherbet-lemons! Their greetings are almost as weird as mine.
So today was best friend day because I was finally reunited with my two slaves aka Molly & Sandy. Sandy & I started the day by watching Ted! Not the most appropriate movie but it gave us the chance to be big girls and use our ID's for the first time.. ever.
Exciting stuff.
It's a pretty funny movie, as expected, but it's not a movie I'd watch again to be honest. But it was quality time with Sandy (because Molly wasn't too keen on seeing it, BOOOOOO!) and we always have a laugh, no matter what we're doing or watching. Literally.
After the movie finished and we'd eaten and caught up, the three of us went around to shop in the city.. more like Molly shopped, Sandy became a public nuisance and I was just there laughing. Which is the usual occurrence.
When we were in Sportsgirl, they had a whole 3D theme going on and there was this stand with free 3D glasses - the old school ones with the red & blue cellophane lenses. And guess who got a little overexcited and wore them throughout the whole shop, knocking into people and earning weird looks?

I know. Sometimes I ask myself why I'm friends with her, too.
After our little shopping trip, we went on our way to go have crepes! But not before Molly made good on her end of our bet, which she lost. So she bought me..

MACAROOOOONS!!! I FLIPPIN LOVE MACAROONS. And these caramel & pistachio ones just made me love em more. God bless the French.
(The keys to my heart are macaroons, vanilla coke and bows.)
We had a very French day today actually! We went to this cute little creperie in Fitzroy called Breizoz and it was fucking amazeballs. I loved the vibe of it and I really wish I took photos of the place but I'm definitely coming back so not to worry! The lighting was dim and it was so cosy and nice and the couple near us playing Scrabble just made the feel of it even more homely and cute.
I ordered the chocolate, fresh strawberries and almond crepe at a pricey $12.50 but it was worth every penny! Aren't French desserts just so freaking awesome?
It was such a funny, relaxing day and exactly what I needed after two weeks of isolation. I've missed the real world. And proper macaroons, not my shitty, shameful homemade ones. Never a boring day with M & S.
I did my nails yesterday because the weather is putting a bloody damper on my mood and I needed some form of summer to block out winter, so here are my mismatched pink & blue nails.. :)
I seriously think I should get an award for being able to paint my nails neatly. It frustrates me to no end when I see pictures of girls' nails and it's messy and all over their cuticles and that like aRE YOU EVEN TRYING
Anyway, so it was the Wimbledon Men's Finals yesterday and Federer was playing against Murray. We all know who I wanted to win. We all knew who was going to win. We all know who won.
Despite the rain delay and everything, it was a great match and Murray played really well, taking the first set.. *narrows eyes*.. haha. I have a lot of respect for Andy though and I've always liked him, even more so when he was being interviewed and he was trying not to cry omfg it broke my heart! And then everyone else started crying and it was just sad ok omg
But at the end of the day, Fed, MY FAVOURITE PLAYER OF ALL TIME, won his 7th Wimbledon title, 17th Grand Slam and took back his place as 1st seed. WHERE HE BELONGS. It was just the cherry on top of the cake after Spain's win at the Euro Cup so I'm a happy chap!!
AND MITCHELL THOMPSON IS NOW IN MELBOURNE SO HAPPY FUCKING DAYS!
