Hey guys!
So I just wanted to introduce to you all something called The Butterfly Project (if you haven't heard of it already), and basically it's a form of motivation and support for those who self harm to stop doing so.
The rules/info are:
- Take a marker or pen and draw a butterfly on the place of self harm - usually the inside of the wrist/arm - and name it after a loved one or someone who really wants you to get better.
- You must let the butterfly fade naturally.
- If you cut before it's faded, you will kill it. If you don't, it lives.
- If you do cut before it goes away, wash it off and start again.
I think it's a great idea and I've already drawn one on myself to show my support because I have too many friends that self harm and I really think that something like this can help them to stop. If you know anyone who self harms, I really suggest and hope you introduce this project to them as well.
On that note, I'm ALWAYS free and willing to listen if anyone needs advice, even if we don't know each other! I don't just say these things to be polite, I want to help in any way I can because everyone deserves love and support. So PLEASE don't hesitate to come to me! Drop a comment, anon or not, with your Twitter/Facebook/Tumblr/whatever, and I'll follow/add you and you can DM me. No one will see it except me because all of the comments on here have to be approved by me before they're posted.
Stay strong!
(Excuse my face! And how shitty the butterfly looks. It's not even in the middle. SIGH.)
